Organized by Critical Sexology.

Critical Sexology in celebration of LGBTQ+ history month present ‘Trans Over Time’. An afternoon of talks about the topic of trans and trans people in different contexts over time.

Speakers:

Domenico DeCeglie – Honorary Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS), Tavistock. Domenico, in conversation with an ex GIDS client, will discuss how he set up GIDS 30 years ago and how it has development over time.

Jane Fae – Writer and activist. Jane will present her perspective on how trans people have been represented by the media.

Bean Sharp - 3rd Year PhD Candidate in English and American Studies at the University of Manchester. Bean’s research historicises the category ‘trans’ to understand how it functions and uncover some of its inherent instabilities.

Igi Moon –Chartered Psychologist and Associate Fellow of Sociology Warwick University. Igi will present on how trans has been discussed within academic contexts.

Respondent- Jay Stewart – Co-founder and CEO of Gendered Intelligence.
